What is Iaso Tea?

total life changes iaso tea reviewIaso Tea is an herbal tea which promises to cleanse your digestive tract using a blend of 9 essential herbs.

Your digestive tract is filled with bacteria, toxins, and “nasty parasites”, according to Total Life Changes. By taking Iaso Tea once or twice per day, you can cleanse toxins from the body and balance your system.

Iaso Tea also advertises weight loss as one of its primary benefits. Iaso Tea users lose weight by cleansing toxins and bacteria from the body – but they also lose weight by optimizing their digestive tract, which means the body can more easily extract nutrients from food and pass waste.

Iaso Tea is one of dozens of different “Iaso” products available from Total Life Changes. Other popular Iaso products include Iaso coffee (which comes in six different varieties) and Iaso multivitamin supplements.

Iaso Tea Ingredients

Total Life Changes calls Iaso Tea a “miracle tea”. Each serving of tea contains a blend of 9 essential herbs specially chosen for their ability to cleanse the upper and lower intestines.

Here are all of the herbs included within Iaso Tea – along with a brief description of how they work and what they do.

-Persimmon leaves: Persimmon is a popular ingredient in many herbal teas. It’s long been used as a natural cleanser. Ancient Chinese medicine has relied on persimmon leaves for thousands of years, for example. Today, we know that persimmon leaves work because they’re rich with vitamin C, flavonoids, amino acids, choline carotenoids, tannins, and rutin.

-Marsh mallow: Marsh mallow soothes inflammation throughout the body by acting as an anti-inflammatory. This can reduce your risk of disease and boost your overall health.

-Malva leaves: Malva leaves are also known as mallow leaves and they have virtually identical benefits to the marsh mallow plant. Malva works as a powerful anti-inflammatory throughout the body.

-Holy thistle: Holy thistle was used in medieval Europe as a treatment for the bubonic plague. Today, it’s used mostly as a diuretic. It encourages the body to cleanse waste from the system.

-Papaya: Iaso Tea doesn’t actually use papaya fruit or fruit extract. Instead, it uses dried papaya leaves. These leaves have long been used by ancient Polynesians to improve the health of the skin. When ingested orally, the leaves also act as a diuretic.

-Chamomile: Chamomile is a popular compound found in herbal teas around the world. In ancient times, those who suffered from stomach cramps would drink chamomile tea to relieve their pain. In recent clinical studies, it’s also proven its worth as an effective anti-anxiety supplement.

-Ginger: Ginger, like chamomile, is often found in teas on its own. It’s used to boost digestion and reduce stomach cramps. If you make ginger tea on its own, you’ll find that it’s surprisingly spicy. When added to the Iaso Tea blend, however, it gives the tea a unique and pleasant edge.

-Myrrh: Myrrh works as an antiseptic and will kill harmful bacteria in your mouth and digestive system. It’s such an effective antiseptic, in fact, that it’s long been used as a dental rinse to cleanse bacteria from the mouth. In Iaso Tea, it gently removes harmful bacteria from the body.

-Blessed thistle: Blessed thistle is simply another name for holy thistle, which we discussed above. Both blessed thistle and holy thistle are alternative names for the plant known as Cnicus benedictus.

Total Life Changes doesn’t disclose how much of each ingredient is included in every Iaso Tea teabag, which makes it difficult to figure out which compounds are working more effectively than others.

How to Use Total Life Changes' Iaso Tea

Total Life Changes claims that the best health benefits occur when you take 8 ounces of Iaso Tea twice per day.

In fact, Total Life Changes claims you can lose 5 pounds in 5 days by drinking 2 cups of tea per day.

Iaso Tea comes in satchel form. Each package contains two tea bags. After opening a package, you’re supposed to take one tea in the morning – say, before breakfast – and another with lunch or in the early evening.

You make the tea as you normally would: pour boiling water into a teapot or mug.

You can also make iced Iaso Tea or serve it cold. If you want to make Iaso Tea cold, follow these instructions:

Step 1) Bring 4 cups of water to boil and let it sit for 3-4 minutes to cool.

Step 2) Pour the hot water into a glass pitcher or a kettle. Put two Iaso Tea bags into that kettle and let it sit for 8 hours.

Step 3) Get a one gallon container (glass works best) and pour in the steeped tea. Fill up the remainder of the container with water, making one gallon of tea. You can remove the tea bags at this point, but most people let the tea continue to steep for a few days.

Step 4) Store the tea in your refrigerator and drink as needed

Some people will drink a hot mug of Iaso Tea in the morning and take a water bottle of chilled Iaso Tea to work in the afternoon.

Each tea bag weighs one ounce.

How to Buy Iaso Tea

Total Life Changes is a network marketing company. That’s why the best place to buy Iaso Tea is typically from your nearest TLC affiliate.

TLC affiliates receive bulk discounts when ordering Iaso Tea. This means they may be able to offer you a substantial discount.

If you don’t know – or can’t find – a local TLC affiliate, then you have two other options:

– Pay $40 for a one month supply of Iaso Tea from Amazon.com (plus $5 shipping)

– Sign up as a member for Total Life Changes and order tea at the discount member price from the official TLC website

When you order Iaso Tea from Amazon.com, you’re still ordering from Total Life Changes: the company operates the Amazon account.

The Iaso Tea listing on Amazon doesn’t list much information about the product. It doesn’t explain exactly how many satchels of tea you get with each order.

However, it does say that the package contains a one month supply of Iaso Tea. If you follow the recommended serving of two teas per day, then that means you get 60 tea bags for a price of $40.

That may be a little more than you’re used to paying for a cup of tea. But as you saw in the “Ingredients” section above, Iaso Tea is like blending 9 different herbal teas together, so it’s not your average tea.

Conclusion: Who Should Use Iaso Tea?

Iaso Tea claims to offer a wide range of powerful health benefits. It promises to cleanse the digestive system and detoxify your organs, for example. It also claims more unique benefits – like the ability to lose 5 pounds in 5 days, cleanse the blood, and cure indigestion.

With Iaso Tea, you’ll probably pay more than you normally would for a cup of tea. If you’re willing to pay a little more money for a lot more health benefits, then Total Life Changes Iaso Tea is a powerful herbal concoction.
